These classes are designed for limited English proficient parents of Pre-K to Fifth Grade children. English skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are taught in the context of life skills. Parenting skills and involvement in their children’s education are emphasized. Classes are offered in the morning at Rogers Magnet Elementary School, Westover Magnet Elementary School and Stark Elementary School. Priority is given to parents whose children attend those schools. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. “Reading with Children” is offered on Fridays. Some after school parent-child activities are included.
