WorkForce Readiness
Workforce Preparation is an intensive English as a Second Language program presented in a workforce preparation context. An 18-hour-a-week program, Workforce Readiness includes eight hours of employment-based English as a Second Language and two hours of computer lab weekly. The curriculum in the lab includes Keyboarding, Windows 10, Word 2016, the Internet and Futures and Ventures. On Fridays, the students are involved in a two-hour exploration of local educational and employment opportunities. Guest speakers are an integral part of the program. Students are selected through testing and interviews.
